TheUltrasonic Test Unit for Ingots, designed by bartz, is used for thenon-destructive testing of aluminum ingots. After the Casting the ingots can be tested on impurities or structuredefects. Defects of the size of ~1,2mm can be detected and localized. Theadvantage of the ingot testing is the „pre-check“ of critical material (alloys)before the production process starts.
